The Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority [BMHA] Perry Choice Neighborhood Planning Initiative

The BMHA Perry Choice Neighborhood (PCN) Initiative is one of the 17 chosen recipients of a Planning Grant funded through the Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) new Choice Neighborhood Initiative.  BMHA will receive a two-year $250,000 grant for the development of a plan to transform the Commodore Perry, Woodson Gardens and Kowal Apartment neighborhoods into vibrant, sustainable communities linked to quality public schools and jobs and opportunities.  After the planning process, the BMHA will then be eligible to apply for a $30 million implementation grant.  The BMHA Perry Choice Neighborhood Initiative is anchored by a partnership with the City of Buffalo and the University at Buffalo Center for Urban Studies.
